Now its my turn to make some REAL points. Think about your children. Think about how they feel about you right now, how easy it is for them to look at you with glorious innocence and love…. And most of all, no judgement!
Do you really think that in years to come when they see their mom in the photograph they are going to care about any of those silly little things that worry you?
Let me… NO!
The ONLY thing that they are going to care about is that you are in those images, those photographs, those precious precious pieces of art. Plus I can guess that even 2 years from now you are going to wish you had “had photos done two years ago when I looked like xyz please fill in your reason here”
How do you feel about images that have your mom, dad, special aunt or uncle in, grand parents? Those thought and emotion provoking items are priceless, and I pretty much guarantee that you would be devastated should anything happen to them?
So maybe this year, have those family photographs done, be in the pictures, be in the images the memories, be a part of the gorgeous history that photographs create and have them printed, create the heirlooms, create the art pieces, the albums. Digital corrupts, so ensure you have your hard copies. Just think about how warm and loving a home feels when you walk in and family images decorate the walls, all the smiles, the happiness, the memories.
When my boys are with their dad, and I walk into my very quiet home, it’s the images on my wall that keep my home alive and happy…. Because of the memories and emotion that they evoke.
Imaging sitting with your grandchild, or even you children paging through an album, chatting about how Aunty grace always forgot to wipe her feet and then tried to blame the pet goat. Or looking an Daniels baby photos and seeing the little jersey and booties that great granny ann hand made for him even though her fingers were bent with arthritis. Heritage, memories….. precious
