How awesome does that sound? Seriously think about it. How many times have you berated yourself for sneaking in that chocolate bar, who we kidding, it’s more like the whole entire slab! Or found that once you start you really just cannot stop on that bottle of wine or the packet of chips or biscuits so the result is that you end up starving yourself for the next four days, or you curl up into the foetal position and cry in fits of disgust and depression for days on end.
It’s ok! You are allowed to have off days, I know how hard you work at your diet or how desperately you want to diet, but GEEEEZZZZ give yourself a break, you need to be able to live too and now I am going to give you the simple life long proven truth, the trick that will turn the diet industry on its ear....
Here we go everything in moderation darling that is it, everything in moderation. Don’t deprive yourself; there is honestly no point to that! You can have that chocolate and not have the entire slab. You can have that glass of wine and not have the entire bottle. You really really can and the trick here is that if you have a craving, shut it down have what it is asking you for but have it in moderation, that way your brain will be satisfied and you won’t end up having a binge feast.
Now I am not saying stuff everything you see into your face, that aint moderation sweetie!!! No no no, but if you only eat lettuce you going gonna be craving that double cream extra creamy with cream on top mouse in no time, balance and moderation. Just take a moment and think about how it will feel....
No more panic no more stress, I mean come on now you are bright, I know you know what is good for you and what isn’t, but not having something you are wanting (unless it is going to affect you on a health level, like if shell fish are going to make you throat close up and your skin break out, I strongly suggest you steer well clear of that one), no! Have it, but do not go overboard, it really is that stunning little thing called common sense, and now that you will be thinking about it with a happy positive outlook you will be aware and make much happier healthier decisionsJ
Oh the mind is a wonderful thing when taught which side to look at life from.
The other side of this beautiful easy truth is this, if you do head off the track, do not beat yourself up about it, acknowledge you screwed up, give yourself a hug, brush yourself off, stand up tall and know that you will do better next time, it really is ok to mess up every now and again and then get yourself back onto the right track again, straight away.
Be gentle with yourself, treat yourself the way you would your best friend or your own toddler, I sincerely doubt you would tell your four year old or your best friend that they are a failure, that they will never amount to anything, that they suck, they are idiots, no one will ever love them because they are too fat and stupid!!! Am I right? So why do it to yourself? Treat yourself with love and compassion and you will treat you with compassion and love.
Please believe me, you do deserve the best you are beautiful and you were created with that very special gift and sparkle that they world needs, and the best part is that you are the only one who has it so don’t hide it!
