That is what it has been feeling like; clearing out mental blocks and very slowly learning to get out of my own way has been a very beautiful journey.
Something that has helped and supported and assisted the transition, meditation. It is something I have always been told to use, by doctors, psychologists and the like, but I have just never really managed to get into it, I could never get the whole “”clear you mind” thing right, I would sit there,
“concentrate now Ah, don’t thing, bugger damnit, I am thinking about not thinking” “”shhhhh you are supposed to not be thinking, oh man I am thinking again””
Breath innnnnnnnnn breath oooouuuuut, “”k, think of the breathing, NO NO NO stop thinking
Clear mind clear DAMNIT!!!”
And then I would just give up!
And then I found Gabby, and her energy about what she believes in is enough to inspire anyone, so I thought I would give it another try..... THANK YOU GOOGLE and Gabby, all the guided meditations, where you don’t have to clear and open your mind you just listen to what they tell you to do and that is it.......... YESSSSSSS I am MEDITATING!
I even have the boys doing it, we start out day off with deep breaths and on the exhale we all say, ... ÏTS GOING TO BE A HAPPY DAY” we all have the giggles at the end of it all but the amazing part is that because we have set the tone for the day with breath, and laughter, it turns out to be a happy day! And all the icky stuff that always sneaks into every day, it is easier to take and handle and solve because, my mind is in a place of Joy, and when it is in a place of joy it is free to work and think and solve.
